Kuna viibin täna hilisõhtuni välismaal, siis toimub võistlejate nimekirja uuendamine öösel.

Selleks aastaks on lõppkiirusvõistlused läbi ja eks näis palju neid järgmine aasta üldse on mõtet korraldada. Tänan kõiki võistlejaid, pealtvaatajaid ja muidugi ka toetajaid, kõik tulemused leiab selle lingi vahendusel.

Keegi teab mis krt selle Saab 9-5'ga tehtud on? Täitsa tavalise pereauto ja nii rahuliku stardiga 305km/h... ulme püss

Endal 218.. nagu vähe võitu. Eelmine aasta sai 222 "tänavaseades" autoga. Seekord pool sisu välja loobitud, kojamehed, peeglid maha kruvitud. Ilmselt võib süüdistada natuke vähest rõhku. 0,6 hoiab praegu, enne oli 0,8. Aga keda või mida selles süüdistada, ei tea.

Thank you all for the nice event and arragements, it was really a pleasure to participate in the event this year also.

Regarding the saabs, they are not built for one purpose only, majority of them serve as daily drivers and are driven year round through the freezing cold winters.. The blue 9-3 which I drove in the event was a likewise daily driver until mid July when the interior of it was removed and the project to turn it into a more race type car began. That work is however badly in progress, but moving forward.
Due to front wheel drive these cars will newer be a pleasure to drive in the first 2 gears, which limits their use, but it still does not mean that they fit one purpose i.e. the standing mile. For street racing on highways they fit just fine and if the car is fast there it will also be fast on the mile

The standing mile competions work very good to bench mark if there has been progress made or not.

Depending on what the goal is with power from a saab, it defines the needed budjet, the blue 9-3 for instance is a relative low budget car, it is with with a 100% standard half motor (block, pistons, con rods, bearings etc.). Head with standard parts besides cams and minor porting. Other hw the basic stuff, big turbo, pipes in out and fuel side cope with power.
